Royal Ascot- Day 3- Tips and Races.

Royal Ascot day 3 and it is Ladies day, so get ready for some ridiculous hats and some great races! Plenty of great horse racing action today the first race is at 14.30 and the last 18.10, so hours of entertainment and betting opportunities from Ascot on Thursday, June 16th 2022.

The racing kicks off at 2.30 with the Norfolk stakes but the main draw of the day will be the gold cup race @16.20 and with almost 300,000e in prize money jockeys,trainers and hopefully horses will be taking this race very seriously. There are also some huge fields in today's races a couple of races have 25+ runners, so good luck picking a winner from those. So often at Ascot the favorites do well and today probably won't be any different, below are my tips for the racing action today.

2.30pm: Norfolk Stakes

Group 2, 5f, 2yo

Antarctic is expected to be favorite and will most likely win but Walbank poses a serious challenge and should be up to the line at the finish.

3.05pm:King George V Stakes

Group 3, 1m2f, 3yo

Newfoundland- In great form coming into Ascot and likely to reach his peak in today's race.

3.40pm: Ribblesdale Stakes

Group 2, 1m4f, 3yo fillies

Magic Lagoon in this fillies race, looking great, running well and should be up there as they cross the line.

4.20pm: Ascot Gold Cup

Group 1, 2m4f, 4yo+

Kyprios-Aidan O’Brien is the leading trainer in this Group 1 contest, winning the Gold Cup seven times already!

5.00pm: Britannia Stakes

Heritage Handicap, 1m, 3yo colts and geldings

King of Time or Amortentia in this race but with 30 runners anything could happen here and picking the winner is a bit of a lotto-good luck!

5.35pm: Hampton Court Stakes

Handicap, 1m4f, 3yo

5.35 a much smaller field with 6 runners, Reach for the Moon is among the favorites and I think he will win.

6.10pm: Buckingham Palace Stakes

Handicap, 7f, 3yo+

In the last race I am going for Star of Orion but again a huge field over 25 runners and it really could go anywhere, best to pick 2 or 3 horses in this race and hope for a bit of luck!

I had 5 winners yesterday in the races and today I feel like I will have some more, we will have to see what the action brings and hopefully all the races go off smoothly.
