People who are successful at gambling will have the addiction under control but how do people consistently win whilst gambling? Well truth be told everyone has bad patches when the luck is just not there and it feels like you can't win on anything and this often induces a tilt mentality. People that are profitable gamblers will recognize the signs and pull out before too much of their bankroll is "tipped into the toilet" or dramatically reduce the amount they are betting to ride through the dry patches.

So what is luck? I have gambled for over 30 years now and have spent a lot of time examining my own luck and wondering how I can improve it and win more. Firstly it is massively more complicated than just being lucky, a lot of factors can effect your luck and truth be told I do not understand or know how most of them work. What I do know though is how important timing is when gambling. If you do the right thing at the right time, place the right bet, spin the right slot or select the right section on crazy time then you can win big. Where does luck and timing cross over? is timing just luck or does time effect your luck? I think I need Einstein to help fully answer my question as it is a tough one. But I am sure all gamblers know how important timing is and if you do the right thing at the right time how profitable it can be.

So how important do you think timing is to winning? And is timing luck or can you somehow sense when something will pay by instinct or feeling, I would love to know what  your thoughts on this and if you have any other input on what you think luck actually is...cheers.

If we had a time machine then luck wouldn't exist as we could go to the exact time a big X would hit :D, i'd say instinct is topt tier when gambling.
