Platipus Slots Review

Now here is a provider that most of you have never heard of but it is fair to say they have a great catalog of games. Platipus have been making online slots since 2014, so they are pretty established in the industry and they have a wide variety of slots to choose from. It looks like they offer a bit of everything, big wins, high volatility, great sounds and smooth original graphics. Platipus operate out of the UK and have slots that range from 1 lines to 50 lines and cascading 243 ways. I will be writing some more detailed slot reviews in the future but here is a few games that Platipus have to offer.

Posh Cats is a really fun little 3 reel 27 pay line slot:

The graphics are good and the game is easy to understand unlike some other really complicated games from other providers. It is easy to adjust the bet to a level that suits your play and the sounds effects are great. The Grand jackpot pays 1500x and it feels like you have a real chance to hit it. You have to land 9 jackpot symbols to trigger the Grand jackpot.

Another fun slot from Platipus is Jackpot Lab where a mysterious wizard is cooking spells up in his magic cauldron. This game has 2 bonuses, free spins and a jackpot wheel. Min, Midi and Grand jackpots seem to be a common theme in Platipus games and they give players the chance to win over 1000x. There are also smaller cash prizes on the wheel but you are guaranteed a prize if you land 3 cauldrons!

In Jackpot Labs you can trigger the Jackpot wheel by landing 3 magic cauldrons on reels 2,3 and 4. The free spins are triggered by landing 3 magic spell books on reels 1, 3 and 5, you can also trigger the cauldron bonus in the free spins for even bigger wins. There are 40 win lines and the RTP is around 95%, this seems to be an average RTP right across Platipus games and is kind of on the low side to be honest. However this is a fun game and the bonuses seem to land very often, the graphics are original and the game play glitch free.

The last game I am going to talk about from Platipus is Power of Poseidon and you can tell from my profile picture I like these kind of games. Power of Poseidon is a 243 way 5 reel, 3 row slot with cascading wins like on the Netent classic Gonzo's Quest, although Gonzo was not 243 ways. This is a great little slot with extremely unique graphics, even the standard 10,J,Q,K and A have been turned into cute little fish characters, the graphics team on Platipus slots have done really well and this makes a huge difference to the games feel.

             

 

Power of Poseidon has potential in the base game too with a couple of base game features and a line of top symbol paying 10x. So you can see the potential playing this 243 ways. The free spins are triggered by landing 3 or more scatter symbols on any reels. Players can get between 15-25 free spins depending on how many scatters land. In the free spin bonus you can get wins multiplied up to 10x with the incremental multiplier that increases with each win you get. It feels like there is a lot of potential on this slot and if you get lucky you can win really big.

Overall Platipus have some great games, really something for everyone. They have virtual table games also, from black jack to baccarat and roulette to video poker. The slot graphics are what do it for me though and they are truly unique, I have never seen so much variation in the characters that Platipus have put in their games. The slots I played were very easy to follow, the overlay is simple and and no problem getting to grips with it.
