Last season Standard was acquired by the American investment company 777 Partners. They immediately stated that they would invest in the club, and also set a goal to participate in European competition every year. Mechelen’s last season was a good one for the team. They were able to reach the playoffs, but took 8th place there. Both are going through a very difficult time right now. The hosts have a personnel crisis, and the guests do not have very good away games, besides, against the tops. Their last rivals were only teams from the end of the standings. Therefore, it does not cost much from Mechelen. Both teams are very inefficient, so the best bet on this game would be total under. Most likely the score will be (1-2 or 2-1)

Wolverhampton in the last round of the Premier League was able to interrupt their string of failures and beat West Ham at home. And in general, after the holidays, the team began to look much more interesting in terms of content, starting to score points more actively. In the cup match with such an unconvincing opponent lately, the Wolves can cling to a positive result, given the difficulties that the Reds have encountered. Liverpool itself, in my opinion, got into a peak, which was noticeable in the last games, especially in the match against Brighton. The team looked sluggish in front and allowed the opponent too much at their own goal, and this resulted in a natural major defeat. Personnel difficulties and problems in the Premier League may shift the Reds' priorities for the season, but they will not give up them to the next round so easily.

I believe that in this match we will see an approximately equal game with equal chances of winning. But, Liverpool is strong anytime.

Wigan V's Luton, Championship football, this league is one below the Premiership but there is a big gulf in quality. This match is going to be a scrappy game and the weather conditions will not help. It is going to cold, wet and probably windy, so there will not be much neat passing going on. Wigan are really struggling this year and are rock bottom of the table, Luton are going along ok and are currently 9th in the table. So on  paper this should be an easy win for Luton despite playing away, the only thing is Wigan are due a win. However I think Luton will put another nail in Wigan's coffin and send them one step closer to league 1.

Here is the predict for today

Napoli had a magnificent victory in the last round of Serie A over Juventus with a score of 5-1. The old lady had won eight in a row before this match and had not conceded a single goal.
