This post kind of links in with the betting strategies that I have been posting lately and following a selected group of horses for the whole season can be a great way to make profit in the long run. Firstly you take a look at last years form and compare your picks to the competition. Try and work out if your horse is going to be getting stronger or maybe they have reached their peak and are heading downwards. There is plenty of info out there but below are my TOP 4 Horses to Follow in 2023:

Top 4 Horses to Follow in 2023:

(1) Horse: Jonboy, Trainer: Nicky Henderson,

Jonboy is the great horse Douvan's brother so it is no surprise to see him follow in Douvan's winning hoof prints. Only losing once last year this horse has really got what it takes to be one of the greats. The race he lost he finished 2nd. This horse will be short odds even in the races with big fields but if he follows the form of last season then profit from betting on him is assured.

(2) Imperial Merlin (John Quinn)

This horse is jumping the fences like they are not even there and backing this horse each way all season is very likely to be profitable, I think he is racing at Chetenham in March so keep and eye out and work out a good betting strat.

(3) Lossiemouth (Willie Mullins)

This trainer has always produced great horses and whilst this horse may not win every time he is very likely to be up in the places. The horse also travels well with victories in France in the Arc  de Triumph races and all around the UK. My only doubt about this horse is if they get moved up to grade 1, currently in grade 2 and looking good but the step up may harm chances of winning so keep a close eye.

(4) Little Big Bear (Aiden O'Brien)

Last but not least on my horses to follow for 2023 is Little Big Bear, now this horse can run! This horse is already a Royal Ascot winner and still has plenty more to give I think. Entering this season as a 3 year old he could quite easily be winning on of the classics in the summer. My only doubts about this horse is he is yet to be tested over 1 mile 8 furlongs, once we have seen him win at this distance the the world is this horses oyster. Great looking horse as you can see below and such a smooth compact speedy running style!

Little Big Bears form for last year was 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st but his last run was 153 days ago as he pulled up with an injury, might be interesting to see how his first race goes before betting @AlphaGamblervery short odds as well mainly odds on, I prefer the long shots. I will try and find some for Cheltenham 😄
