The "Dutch" Betting Strategy- Horse Racing.

There are quite a few different strategies you can use to place bets of sporting events like Horse Racing but as we should all know a lot still comes down to luck. Anything can happen at any time and no betting strategy is fool proof or we would all be millionaires right?

The horse racing strategy I am going to talk about today is called the Dutch betting strategy or some people call it "Dutching" it is a very simple strategy and one that we can all start using strait away. The Dutch betting strategy involves making two selection to win, something that some of you probably already do and may not have realized that you were using the Dutch strat. But it does have a name and it is simple, so your first selection is going to be the horse that you think will win and on this horse you will wager heavier, meaning you will put more money on this horse. This first bet should be shorter odds and if you are following form and bookies prices then the odds will be pretty short anyway. Once this bet is placed then you chose a second horse that you think will either win or get placed, you then bet an amount that will at least get you your stake for the two bets back. This second bet is not necessarily about making money it is about recouping your money and breaking even. If you make money from this second bet then even better but it is not vital, the second bet is a back up to cover the larger stake on the first bet.

                                                              

The Dutch strategy is very simple and only takes a tiny bit of math to work out how much you need to bet on the second horse to either break even or make a profit if the first bet loses. I will be posting more Horse racing betting strategies soon and they do get a bit more complicated than this, the Dutch strategy is a very good basic strategy to get your head around though and once you find your own patterns or tips then you can really apply this and turn a profit.

I used to do this back then, it works pretty well but if a different bet wins, we’re taking a heavy hit
