I am sure that most of you have taken advantage of a casino sign up bonus or a special casino promotion. You may have noticed that some bonuses are classed as "sticky" and some are  classed as "non-sticky" bonuses. So what is the difference and which one is better?

Sticky Casino Bonus:

A sticky casino bonus is a term used to describe a bonus that a casino will give you either on sign up or as part of a special promotion. What makes the bonus "sticky" is that as soon as you make a deposit using the bonus code you are tied into wagering. In the bonus terms it will tell you how many times you have to wager the bonus amount before it is turned into real cash funds. Most sticky deposit bonus offers will come with wagering requirements between 10-50x either your bonus amount or combined bonus deposit amount. You have to fulfill all the bonus requirements before you can withdraw any money and this makes this bonus a "sticky" variety.

Non-Sticky Casino Bonus:

A non-sticky casino bonus is a type of bonus that offers the player the best of both worlds. It gives the player extra funds to play with but also the chance to cash out before they have completed the wagering. Non- Sticky bonuses can have different rules, so it is always worth checking the terms and conditions before you take the bonus. Some non-sticky bonuses will let the player use their real cash deposit before the bonus funds. This means if the player wins a nice amount and wants to cash out they can. As long as the player does not dip into the funds they are able to withdraw. If the player goes into the bonus funds even by a cent! Then they are tied into the wagering terms of the bonus.

Which is better non-sticky or sticky?

Well in my opinion non-sticky is always best, even though they often come with higher wagering requirements. A non-sticky casino bonus is like an extra life, if you lose all your real funds then you have a free shot to beat the wagering with bonus funds. You can get good sticky bonuses though, if the wager is 25x or under then you stand a pretty good chance of beating it. I would advise players though to always take a non-sticky bonus as if you win big with your real money balance you can cash it out strait away.

In the casinos I have played I only have the option to play with fixed (sticky) bonuses, which are really difficult to release. In my personal experience I have succeeded, but it is a matter of "a lot of luck" and not to be dominated by greed.
