The game Bingo has been around since the 1500's where in Italy a type of lotto game was born that resembled the modern game we can play today. The game was picked up in France in the late 1700's and was called "Le Lotto". The game traveled across Europe and reached all corners of the continent, in the early 1920's it reached its way over the pond to the USA. The traditional 90 ball version was adopted but new variants soon started to be born. So we are starting to get closer to the game we know today. A man call Edwin Lowe found the game in the States and decided to write a rule book and change the format slightly. The new version of the game migrated back to the UK and was hugely popular in the 1960's on wards. Bingo halls as they were called started to crop up everywhere, in both small and big towns a like. The game was extremely popular with the working class and offered them an escape from the stress of a working life. The game started to be called Bingo instead of Beano and that is how it got its name.

                                      

Over the years the game has tried to shake off the fact that mainly old ladies play bingo and that is hard, as my Grandma loves it and so do all her friends and people she knows 😄 There are now many variants of Bingo and especially online. The new games are combined with computer graphics and massive jackpots that make the game more exciting and have a wider appeal. Possibly the most popular version for players to play today in a game from Evolution Gaming called Mega Ball and happens to be my favorite games. I had class activities like this too. Teachers give us a sheet and the winner gets a bag of candy or stuffed toy.

There was also one for Christmas where the entire school is forced to play for school merch and some golden tickets that can be exchanged for day offs or free time during class!

I spent a $200 on this bingo game and broke even after going down bad the first couple buys. That last one saved me with a high multiplier and some sheets hit. Not very fun, Crazy Time/Sweet is better
