Hot Off The Press- Eyecon Studios- (Quick Review)

I try to give all types of providers old and new a chance when writing these reviews and I try not to favor anyone provider. This sometimes means that I write and play games that I am not completely impressed with and to be honest this one of those games. Hot off the Press is a new release from Eyecon Studios and it almost feels like a Beta version. Sure the game runs smoothly and there are no glitches but in terms of player excitement things are lacking from this game.

The game is set on a printing press and the reels spin on rolls of paper. Hot off the Press is a 5 reel, 3 row, adjustable pay line slot. You can play from 1-25 lines and I do like games where you can chose the amount of lines you play. There are no base game features and the hit rate is pretty low, the line hits are not great either with a line of the top symbol paying only 50x. There are two bonuses though the Hot off the Press bonus and the free spins.

You need to land 3 or more Hot off The Press scatters to trigger this bonus and the scatter is also wild. You are then taken to a picking game where you get chose a paper that I presume is Hot off the Press and a prize is revealed. You can pick up to a 500x prize each time you pick but the highest I got was 25x.

The bonus does have potential if you can get the 500x but I think that is pretty rare. The second bonus is a free spin bonus and this also involves a bit of picking. Before the spins start you get to pick from a grid and you can get more spins and increase the multiplier but that is it. There are no extra wilds or anything else in the freespins so you are relying on making lines or landing the Hot off the Press scatters.

The only difference from the free spins and base game is the golden back ground and the win multiplier, you can see I managed a 6x multiplier and it was a 4 scatter trigger that gave me an extra pick and more spins but I still only managed about 75x, it is quite hard to see where the potential comes from in this game. The RTP is 95.194%

This game is probably not one I will be putting real money through, the base game is lacking and the bonus games are far from exciting. It is fairly well made but certainly has no wow factor at all, very mundane.

As I understand over time, @Garf79 fanatical from the old slots, or which have a grid of 3x3 or 5x5 and so on. In general, I want to say that I do not particularly like these slots, but there are those that can give really not bad. I think you should try this slot, because it deserves attention.

Retro slot designs will seek to conquer older generations. It was in which average age there will be more gamblers. I am 30 and I play since I was 16, in a "controlled" way.
