Hey everyone I thought I would write a post in this section as I am just coming off of a big loss! I got paid on the weekend and do not get paid again until 30th Nov but already I have lost all of my monthly budget. It is quite a lot of money £500 that I budgeted for a months play and the worst thing is that I have not even told my girlfriend yet, she is going to go mental. So I thought I would do a responsible gambling quiz to try and cement some good rules to follow in my brain, hoping that I may not lose all my money so quickly again!

 

Question 1: If you feel like you are starting to tilt, what should you do?

Question 2: If you are chasing losses, what should you do?

Question 3: If you are playing but not having fun, what should you do?

Question 4: If you can't think about anything else and can't control your actions, what should you do?

Question 5: If your gambling is causing or going to cause problems in your family life what should you do?

 

                           

I think this is the answer for all of the questions above and if you feel like you are getting into the same situation as me, then STOP!

1. I should most likely stop betting.

2. I will not chase losses because betting is intended to be enjoyable rather than profitable (in the same way that we earn a salary or wage).

3. As I said earlier, gambling is only for fun. If I am not getting enjoyment, there is no point in gambling more.

4. I will take a break.

5. Only play with money you can afford to lose. If gambling is affecting your family directly or indirectly, we should immediately stop it.
