150th Open Championship, St Andrews (Old Course)

The 150th Open Championship is underway at St Andrews and some really good betting opportunities to be had. I always prefer to place my golfing bets each way as predicting the out right winner is very hard with such a big field of players. The bookies have Rory Mcllroy as favorite at around 8.00, the player closest to him is Cameron Smith at 13.00 and then Jordan Spieth at 17.00.

                                     

My tip for the out right winner of the 150th is John Rahm each way at 19.00, he has been in good form of late and always seems to put in a few good rounds at ST Andrews. Other golfers to look out for are Dustin Johnson at 36.00 if this big hitter can keep the ball strait and on the fairway, he could easily drive past most of the hazards. But ST Andrews is all about being able to get your self out of trouble! At some point or another all the golfers will be in a bunker, water hazard or long brush, claggy thick grass.

It will be an interesting contest as usual and the weather is looking good even for Scotland, so let me know who you guys are putting your money on and lets hope we have some winners.
