Elias Ymer gets yet another wildcard opportunity in his home event in Bastad this week. He competed here in each of the last eight editions and exited without registering a win on five occasions. World #137 had a couple of forgettable outings in recent weeks. He lost twice in a row as a lucky loser at Wimbledon (QR3 and R1) and could win only seven games against Corentin Moutet in the first round at Salzburg Challenger last week.

Daniel Altmaier enjoyed his time on clay post-Wimbledon last year, and he would be hoping to match those results in the upcoming weeks. He won two Challenger titles during that period and more importantly, posted consecutive semifinal results on the main tour in Umag and Kitzbuhel.

Tied at 1-1 (DA leads 1-0 on clay). Playing at home certainly helps Elias Ymer to an extent, but there isn't much between these two players at the moment, and both would see this as an opportunity to get a rare main-draw win in ATP events this year.

The game between this two gentleman's will take place in Sweden at 13:30(CET) 

Stan Wawrinka is still struggling to get back to his best level. He missed nearly nine months of the 2021 season due to injury and has played only ten matches so far in 2022. His best result of the season was beating Reilly Opelka and Laslo Djere on the clay courts in Rome Masters back in May.

Pablo Carreno Busta was finding ways to win despite playing ordinary tennis a few months ago, but that luck seems to have run out as he is currently winless in three matches, and two of those losses were against the inexperienced Antoine Bellier and Dusan Lajovic (via retirement).

Stan Wawrinka leads 3-0 (2-0 on clay). As their H2H may suggest, the Swiss is the superior player, but his lack of match-time and fitness in recent months makes him the underdog in this particular meeting against a very beatable Pablo Carreno Busta.

The game between this two gentleman's will take place in Sweden at 15:30(CET) 

Lorenzo Musetti's plan to get his first win on grass (as a pro) failed last month as he played three matches on the surface in Stuttgart, London and Wimbledon and lost them all against Nikoloz Basilashvili, Alexander Bublik and Taylor Fritz, respectively, without even winning a set.

Laslo Djere fared relatively better on grass over the last few weeks. He reached the second round in Halle and played competitive matches with Karen Khachanov in Halle, Nick Kyrgios in Mallorca (three-setter) and Alejandro Tabilo at Wimbledon (five-setter).

Laslo Djere leads 4-1 (3-0 on clay and 1-0 in 2022). Though Lorenzo Musetti is the talented player of these two, the Serbian has performed at a higher level in recent months, and he starts this battle between two evenly-matched players as the slight favorite.
