Ricardas Berankis hadn't played a match on grass this year and was winless in three matches before arriving in Wimbledon, but none of that mattered as he was able to dominate the former semifinalist Sam Querrey in the first round, 6-4 7-5 6-3.

Rafael Nadal, who was not expected to compete at Wimbledon until a few weeks ago, struggled quite badly against Francisco Cerundolo in the first round earlier this week. He dropped a set to the inexperienced Argentinian playing only his seventh match on grass and exposed 18 breakpoint chances in four sets, four more than his opponent.

Rafael Nadal leads 1-0 (6-2 7-5 in ATP Melbourne 2022). Ricardas Berankis' peak tennis can test the Spaniard to an extent on grass but whether he can perform at such a high level for a sustained period remains to be seen.

The game between this two gentleman's will take place in the UK at 17:10(CET) 

Alex de Minaur avoided consecutive first-round exits from Wimbledon by comfortably dispatching the clay-court specialist Hugo Dellien in the first round of this edition. Apart from dropping his serve once in the early stages of the second set, he looked pretty much comfortable all match, 6-1 6-3 7-5.

Jack Draper opened his account at Wimbledon in the fourth attempt by securing a solid straight-set win over the 2022 Ilkley Challenger champion Zizou Bergs this week. He made his debut in the main draw of this tournament in 2021 and led the eventual champion and world #1 Novak Djokovic by a set in the first round.

Jack Draper has the talent and ability to achieve big things on grass, but at this moment, Alex de Minaur should be able to grind out the 20-year-old Brit.
