Johnson S. VS Dimitrov G.

   Johnson S.                   Dimitrov G.

The game between this two gentleman's will take place in the UK at 11:00(CET)

Steve Johnson is yet to play a main-draw match on grass this year, as both of his campaigns in London and Eastbourne over the last two weeks ended in the final qualifying round against Paul Jubb and compatriot Brandon Nakashima, respectively.

Former world #21 struggled quite badly at all levels since the pandemic and even dropped out of the top-100 during this period. However, he hasn't had a problem clearing the first-round hurdle in slams, as he has gone 5-0 at this stage at this level since the start of the 2021 season.

Grigor Dimitrov has scored at least one win in ten of the 12 tournaments he entered in these six months of the 2022 season, including in the previous two slams at the Australian Open and French Open, where he reached the second and third round, respectively.

The top-ranked Bulgarian has gone 1/1 on grass so far this year, and the last time he managed to collect more than one win on the surface in a season was in 2018 when his seven-match winning streak in the first round at Wimbledon ended at the hands of Stan Wawrinka.

Grigor Dimitrov leads 5-2 (1-1 on grass). Dimitrov is far superior in every aspect of the game, and his best tennis should get him the win against a struggling Steve Johnson.

Ritschard A. VS Tsitsipas S.

  Ritschard A.                 Tsitsipas S.

The game between this two gentleman's will take place in the UK at 17:30(CET)

Alexander Ritschard made his debut at Wimbledon a few days ago and defeated Stuart Parker, Nicolas Kicker, and Duje Ajdukovic to secure his main-draw berth. His only previous campaign at this level came at the French Open last month, and he failed in the final qualifying round there.

Stefanos Tsitsipas desperately needed some success on the grass to give him the belief to get results on the surface, and he finally got that in his most recent outing in Mallorca just a few days ago. His performance there wasn't entirely convincing, but he managed to grind out wins over the likes of Marcos Giron and Roberto Bautista Agut and lifted his maiden grass-court title.

Alexander Ritschard can offer a decent challenge to Stefanos Tsitsipas on grass if he performs at the level he did in the early stages of the 2022 season. However, Ritschard is going through a rough patch at the moment, and he heads into this clash as the big underdog.
