Maxime Cressy failed in the first round in both grass-court events he entered this year, but his performance on both occasions has been quite good. He served for the match against Dominic Stricker in the second set in Stuttgart and took a set off the eventual champion Hubert Hurkacz in Halle last week.

Reilly Opelka began his campaign on grass with a straight-set defeat at the hands of Alex de Minaur in the first round of ATP London last week. It was a worrying performance from the American as he exposed five breakpoint chances in two sets and dropped his serve quite cheaply, 4-6 4-6.

Maxime Cressy leads 1-0. The lower-ranked American Maxime Cressy edged the pair's only previous meeting in three sets in Melbourne earlier this year, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he manages to do it again.

Jay Clarke couldn't make use of the qualifying wildcard opportunity he got in ATP London (QR1) last week, and he would be hoping to do better in Eastbourne this week, where he's been granted a wildcard entry into the main draw.

Brandon Nakashima ended his five-month wait for a quarterfinal appearance on the main tour in ATP 's-Hertogenbosch, where he defeated compatriots Tommy Paul and Sam Querrey and led the reigning champion Adrian Mannarino by a set in the quarterfinal.

Jay Clarke, on his day, can be a frustrating player to play against, but Brandon Nakashima has got the form and confidence to overcome this tricky test.

Alexander Bublik made a winning start to his previous two outings on grass this year in Stuttgart and London, but was unfortunate to run into quality opponents in the second round on both occasions, 3-6 6-7 against Andy Murray and 6-7 5-7 against Marin Cilic.

Frances Tiafoe wasted his chances in the deciding set and got outlasted by the 37-year-old Stan Wawrinka in the first round of ATP London last week, 6-7 7-6 6-7. It was his 12th defeat of the season in 24 matches.

Frances Tiafoe leads 1-0. Alexander Bublik is expected to have a slight edge in this battle, but anything is possible in a match involving the Kazakh.

The game between this two gentlemans will take place in the UK at 16:15(CET)

Jenson Brooksby started as the solid favorite in all three matches he played on grass this year and lost two of them against Hugo Gaston in the second round in 's-Hertogenbosch and Filip Krajinovic in the first round in London last week.

Jack Draper missed out on an excellent opportunity to make a rare quarterfinal appearance on the main tour in ATP London last week. He upset the world #14 Taylor Fritz in straight sets in the first round but lost as the favorite to Emil Ruusuvuori in straight sets in the second.

Jenson Brooksby has delivered far better results and has already proven himself on the main tour, but playing on grass does give Jack Draper equal chances in this particular meeting.

The game between this two gentlemans will take place at Centre Court, Mallorca at 16:00(CET)

Tallon Griekspoor had never won a main-draw match on grass in his career before 2022, but he did well to make consecutive second-round appearances on the surface in 's-Hertogenbosch and Halle (as a qualifier) over the last two weeks.

Feliciano Lopez put an end to his nine-match losing streak and scored his first win of the season in ATP London last week, where he defeated fellow struggler Bradley Klahn in QR1 and lost to the eventual quarterfinalist Emil Ruusuvuori in three sets in the final qualifying round.

Tallon Griekspoor leads 1-0 (6-4 6-4 in Tenerife Challenger 2021, F). Feliciano Lopez is one of the best players on grass currently active on tour, but his recent poor form and lack of confidence and fitness make him the underdog in most of the matches he plays at the moment.
