When I saw Lucky Gems for the first time I thought WOW this looks interesting! The game has 3 reels and what looked like a progressive multiplier that can go up to 15x. I thought this must be some kind of 3 reel tumble game and I also thought it looked a little bit like Netent Classic Starburst.

Lucky Gems just goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover! After playing this slot for a while I soon found out there was no bonus and it was not a tumble slot. Also when you land a stack of the wild symbol you don't get a re-spin like on StarBurst!

Lucky Gems is a very basic slot, with very basic mechanics. It looks like it should offer players a lot more and when you first see it you think this must have some potential.

                 

It has 5 lines and an RTP of 96.81% which is pretty good. It is a low volatility/High Hit Rate game. This slot does have some appeal although it won't hold players attention for too long. There is no feature or anything to keep players spinning in search of the big win!

            

Lucky Gems is a slot you may come to looking for a quick boost if you are an experienced slots player, if you are new to online slotting then this game is great for you and it is very easy to understand what is going on. The win lines are basic and hit rate is high, so I guess it just what novice players are looking for.

Overall Lucky Gems looks a lot better than it plays, if only NextSpin made this a tumble game and you got a re-spin when a wild landed and if only the multiplier was not random and it increased for every win/cascade you got. If they did do this it would have kind of been a 3 reel StarBurst/Gonzo's Quest hybrid which I think would have had way more appeal!
