Royal Ascot-Final Day-Tips & Races

Today is the final day for Royal Ascot this year and we have seen some great races and a lot of drama. The favorites are doing well at Ascot this year, will today be any different? Well we are due to get some rain later on today and that may change the firmness of the ground, this may have an effect on some of the races. Also it is a lot cooler, horses will be taking on less water and sweating less now the sun is behind the clouds. We have the big 1 million prize, Platinum Jubilee Stakes at 4.20. This race has a big field and everyone will want the prize money. Below are the races and my tips for today- the last day of Royal Ascot on the Platinum Jubilee year.

Royal Ascot - Saturday 18/06/22

The Chesham Stakes /(Listed) 2 /£100,000 /Seven furlongs

ALFRED MUNNINGS (IRE) is likely to win here in the first race, although Alzahir from France will be close behind

The Jersey Stakes (Group 3) /3 /£110,000 /Seven furlongs

Star Girls Aalmal is my tip for this race, been in good form and ground set to suite

The Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) /4+ /£225,000 /One mile, four furlongs

Hurricane Lane is the odds on favorite to win this race and I think the bookies are right, I can't see any other horse in the field giving him an bother.

The Platinum Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) /4+ /£1,000,000 /Six furlongs

Home Affairs is the bookies favorite and this horse has been bought all the way from Australia for this race but has he had enough time to acclimatize for today's big race? I think with such a big field it is a tough one to call. I think Minzal @12/1 has a good chance as well.

The Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) (0-110) /3+ /£175,000 /Six furlongs

Blackrod each way in this race this horse has a very good chance of getting placed.

The Golden Gates Stakes (Handicap) (Class 2) (0-105) /3 /£100,000 /One mile, two furlongs

Missed the Cut from USA, horse has come along way for this race and I think he has a good chance of taking the prize money.

The Queen Alexandra Stakes (Conditions) (Class 2) /4+ /£100,000 /Two miles, six furlongs

In the last race there are quite a few short odds horses but I am going for Worsworth @11/4.
