Predicting the outcome of games with so much variance is very difficult, I mean a lot can happen 90 minutes and no two games are ever the same. Players can get sent off and the dominant team can concede an unlucky own goal- literally anything can happen in the course of a match, even fans can effect the result sometimes.

So to help you make better football predictions I am going to give you some tips and strategies so that hopefully you win more often. You can also apply a lot of this information to other sports betting, to aid you getting paid more often!

Winning Football Betting Strategy:

• Form- Always check teams form! Previous results can be a key indicator in how they are likely to perform in the next match.
• Squad Strength-  Checking if a team has any injuries or players out due to suspension. Finding out this information can be a bet winning strategy and keeping an eye out for any team news regarding the players right up until kick off.
• Follow Expert Predictions- There are many football shows on TV and online, on these shows they often have expert pundits, listen to these people! They often have a vast amount of footballing knowledge and basically know what they are talking about. So listen to their advice and place your bets accordingly.
• Stay Impartial- Staying impartial is hard, especially when you are betting on the team you support. Keeping your heart out of your bets and placing them using your brain is another winning strategy. So when you are putting your bet on make sure you are thinking about previous form and squad strength and not how much you love your team.
• Spread your bets- Spreading your bets means placing more than one bet, it is like the old proverb of "putting all your eggs in one basket". If you are unsure about a match then cover the different outcomes with more than one bet, this way win or lose hopefully you will come out on top.
• Use your head- Using your head and thinking about all the information above is how you will become a more profitable at match betting, it is key that you cross reference teams form against their squad strength, this should give you a lot of information about how the team will perform on the day. Reading up and listening to expert opinion is key to gaining knowledge and knowledge is key-know football inside out and you will gain an advantage.
