Burning Chilli is a great new release from Red Rake Gaming and I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed testing this game! This slot has some of my favorite slot mechanics all mixed together, it also has several bonuses and plenty of tequila! As you would expect from a chilli game it has a Mexican theme to it, pinatas, tequila, chihuahua's, cactus's and of course chill's all feature.

                                                         

Now I know what some of you must be thinking, that this is just another chilli game and nothing we have not seen before. Well what sets this game apart from the rest is the culmination of some really fun features and some great mechanics, firstly this is a tumble slot. Each time you get a win the winning symbols explode and more symbols drop in, this mechanic of course made popular by Netent Gonzo's Quest.

The next great mechanic, there are no scatters! The free spins are triggered by getting consecutive wins to fill the meter on the left of the screen. 4 wins get you 12 spins and 7 wins gives you a massive 24 spins, the free spin meter is the one in red, we will come to the green chilli meter in a bit.

During the free spins there is no chance to re-trigger! Instead you get a multiplier ladder on the left hand side, this is the next great little addition to this slot that I loved. For each tumble win you achieve you climb the ladder until you miss, once you miss the multipler is randomly chosen above where you managed to climb. Theoretically meaning you can get the whole win multiplied by 50x at any time after the tumble sequence. It's these small details that Red Rake have made to the mechanics that makes this a truly really splendid little slot. And we are only just coming up to the green chilli bonus, it is fairly common for slots these days to be dual bonus and sometimes more. So what slot today would be complete without a hold'n'spin bonus.

Each non winning spin contributes towards a % of the the Green Chilli meter and from playing quite a few spins it seems to trigger around every 100 spins or so. The Green Chilli bonus is a a hold'n'spin sub game where you try and get single,double or treble green chillis and red chillis multiply the win. Also fill all the spaces and you win the grand jackpot, there is plenty to keep you going here and for a simple 25 win line, 5 reel, 3 row slot, Burning Chilli is by far one of the best I have seen in a long while.

The red chill's are wild in the base and free spins and if you land the pinata symbol it blows up and removes a random number of reel positions, this can help in continuing the tumble wins and filling the free spin meter. You can see that a line of top symbol only pays 8x, so base game potential is very small. This is a bonus heavy medium volatility slot but don't worry the bonus comes in pretty often.

The RTP is 95.3% which is on the low side for games I like to play. Burning Chilli has 25 win lines and on first glance is a very simple slot. What makes this a great slot however is the clever combination of existing mechanics, Red Rake have done really well here tying everything together. The sound and game play are on point, the overlay is easy to use and adding everything up Burning Chilli is a really, really fun game.
