It is looking like Belgium is going to be taking the drastic step of banning all advertising related to gambling in the very near future. It has been said that the Belgian authorities are treating gambling like the new smoking and aim to stop its spread through the population. Gambling companies will no longer be able to advertise on TV, Radio, News Papers, Social Media, E-mails or Texts by the end of this year 2022. I am sure we have witnessed this type of prohibition in the past and what seems to happen? Well it goes underground and authorities struggle to keep track on it. Below is an interesting article I found in the Brussels Times outlining the imminent changes hitting the Belgians.
