Another slot in the dead series and after some pretty mediocre previous releases this one is actually pretty good. Secret of dead is a 10 line 6 reel slot, with the 6th reel permanently open this time around. Secret of the Dead features the main character Shai a goddess from times gone by. This slot seems a long way away from Book of Dead the first in the "Dead" series from Pla'n'Go!

Shai means fate in ancient Egypt and she will certainly decide yours if she decides to show up, a full screen pays 10,000x. When she turns up in the bonus all wins with her are x2.

           

Like most of the other slots in this series you need 3 scatter to trigger the bonus, it is an expanding symbol bonus-original. But what sets this feature apart from the other is that if you get a re-trigger not only do you get an additional 5 spins you also get an extra symbol that can expand .

    

The feature is more or less the same as Legacy of Dead but you get less spins for a re-trigger and there are 6 reels, plus the max win is 10,000x instead of 5,000x. That is about it not much else is new it is another expanding slot game, it runs smoothly and graphics are crisp. The symbols and scatters look good on the reels but it is basically the same old mechanics taken from Novomatics Book of Ra original game which was released in 2005. I really think in the 17 odd years Play'n'go they could have pushed the workings of these slots a little bit further and maybe thought a little bit outside their comfort zone.

    

You can see above that it is a 10 line game, although you can customize to play between 1-10 lines which I like on these types of games as it offers a chance to grind at low stakes as little as 1 cent. Overall this is a very average slot, really nothing new and just crossing old game mechanics to get a new release.
