Narcos Mexico is a sequel to Narcos the original and like we have seen a few examples of in the past, the original Narcos was Netent and the new version-Narcos Mexico is Red Tiger. We have seen this format of releases with games like Gonzo's Quest and then Gonzo's Quest Megaways and the same with Jack 'n' The Beanstalk. Netent first, Red Tiger make the sequel.

The base game in Narcos Mexico looks pretty similar to the original the big difference in this game is the bonus round! The hold and spin feature. The feature is triggered with scatter on reels 1,3 and 5, this is a 243-5 reel slot by the way.

One you hit the scatters you are transferred to a 10x10 grid where you have a chance to win Narcos Mexico's max win of 10,486x.

This is an interesting take on the hold and spin bonus and one we have not seen before, you will see that in each corner there is a cartel boss.

The aim of the bonus is to grow your bosses territory and take over other bosses to grow your prizes even bigger. The game is a medium volatility slot which means wins of 50 to 200x are fairly common but there is also the chance for some really big hits too.

The game also features the new 100x win exchange which is being added to some of their new releases, this basically means if you win over 100x in base game or bonus you can exchange for the Cartel spins.  Overall Narcos Mexico is an Ok game, the base game is pretty smooth and plays well with a few base game features but nothing special really. The Cartel spins in Narcos Mexico are a bit boring as well in my opinion, yes you have the chance to win big but the hold and spin feature has been over-killed. The bonus can be long and drawn out with little excitement, I feel there is nothing here that will really keep players gripped. A slot that will probably appear in bonus hunts is my verdict.
