Great new for Hacksaw Gaming and players in the States alike with the news coming out about Hacksaw being awarded their first ever license in the U.S. There are a lot of hoops providers have to jump through to be able to get their games licensed in America as their licenses are issued under Federal guidelines and state laws. So being awarded a license to operate is really quite a big deal, especially considering how lucrative the American market is. Hacksaw Gaming have been awarded a provisional license in the state of West Virginia and this comes soon after they were awarded a license further north in Ontario. This is seen a significant expansion by many in the industry and will hopefully be the first step in seeing Hacksaw's games reaching more and more American under licensed conditions.  From what I have seen Hacksaw games have been very popular on unregulated crypto casinos but having them available to play under licensed conditions will give players significant level of security and player protection. Below is a statement from Hacksaw Gaming and it is only a 2 minute read but quite interesting as it also outlines Hacksaw's vision for the future:

Hacksaw Gaming is breaking into a new territory after being awarded its first ever licence in the United States

We've been granted a provisional licence in West Virginia, to begin what its CEO Marcus Cordes describes as "the start of a significant expansion into the US".

This latest licence comes after we first made strides into North America in May 2022 after being granted a licence in Ontario! The strategy for North America is to go live in the US in Q1 of 2023 via our partnership with Light & Wonder.

Cordes said: "This latest expansion comes after our licence approvals in Romania and the Isle of Man earlier in 2022, so we're finishing the year just as strongly as we started it. Being granted this licence is testimony to the quality of our games portfolio and shows just how robust and engaging our content is."

This new licence comes as West Virginia's licensed iGaming operators saw a 60 per cent increase in October compared to the same month last year, with a 12 per cent increase on September of this year.

Christine Bordeaux, Hacksaw's SVP of Compliance North America, said: "We have an exciting strategy for the US and our team is focused on delivering yet more excellent and memorable products to delight that market."

It's an achievement to be able to say that we work in more than 18 regulated markets and provide a secure iGaming platform to the largest online gaming brands, as well as to several governments.
