Playoff brackets finalized for BLAST + my predictions!

Hey! This year’s BLAST has been relentless and full of surprises, like who would have thought OG would reach semis and Heroic/Outsiders, ranked 1st and 2nd respectively would get eliminated so early on? 
 

People thought it would be a rather disappointing major without C9, Furia, or even ENCE but G2 and OG seriously proved them wrong.

My predictions for today:

G2 vs VITALITY:

In terms of team form, G2 has the upper hand. They have been performing incredibly well although falling short in certain maps due to having the lower cards when it comes to tactics, they have shown to be very strong when it comes to their own picks and occasionally, in their opponents. Once momentum is on their side, it would be very difficult to stop them!

In terms of individuals, statistically, Vitality should win due to Zywoo’s ability to get frags. He currently has the highest KD of any individual at 1.31. His consistency to land at the top of the leaderboard makes it difficult for his opponents to take rounds AT ALL. If you’re pushing Zywoo, expect to die.

Even though G2 is doing better, I would put my trust in Vitality just because of Zywoo. He can shut down G2’s momentum and pushes easily. This gives his team a chance to recover, reposition, do whatever they need to land kills. Ez for VITA!

Outstanding play by Liquid, ON FIRE 🔥

According to the interview after the match, LIQUID claims that NaVi was far too predictable. They have scrimmed NaVi on Overpass many times before so their playstyle has already been drilled into their heads. Overpass is not a map NaVi is necessarily good on but the only option after the bans. Rip Dust2… NaVi’s map pool is gone.

Next map will be Ancient which is one of Liquid’s best map. Im thinking this is GGs. Goodbye NaVi! They can’t keep up with Liquid’s pace or their pop flashes

^ If I knew this information, I would’ve went all in Liquid. Didn’t even provide a prediction because I was 50/50 on this match…

Perfecto and B1t has always been consistent in their frags but that wasn’t apparent for this map

Nawww, i made no calls for this. In fact, i went $10 into NaVi 💀

im a biased s1mple fan so i can’t make predictions for navi matches. Liquid isn’t transparent with their training/scrims so this information was very new

THIS IS INCREDIBLE...

Liquid has been doing so well the entire map until the 3rd round on CT, what happened?

Into this tournament, NaVi has been underperforming and losing many rounds they usually would've won. Each member INCLUDING s1mple were missing their shots and had poor positioning. This is the FIRST TIME we're seeing the flames being lit up within navi. Every member got their kills and gained the confidence they were missing!

BIGGEST COMEBACK WE'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME

It wasn't because Liquid did horribly and threw, it was because NaVi played at their best. Everything clicked and worked out. Props to b1t for pulling the impossible, his hero plays gave navi a chance to stay into the game MANY TIMES! He gave his team so many openings and allowed his team to take control of site, their push was unstoppable!

Odds were at 20+ for them to win 2-way. Now let's head onto the 3rd map... will navi carry this humongous momentum onto the next map?

Dominant first few rounds. Their mentality has completely shifted, no more desperate attempts at hero plays, there's now synergy, all so evident in how they're playing now!

Liquid won't be able to slow NaVi down when they're doing so 🔥

I dont even want to comment on this, why did they ever add npl to these matches when he is this inexperienced. He has been making so many mistakes since the start that every pro thus far has avoided doing. Hold tight corners will only get you prefired. No, stop repositioning when the enemy is constantly on the flank. Stop pushing when you're just going to get bombarded with flashes... stop holding angles that'll only get naded/mollied.

They seriously switched sdy who was doing great and doing his job the first 2 maps over to this rookie. GG

G2 was doing so good. God, they had so many chances to clear out this map because of how horrible and tilted Vitality was.

However… somehow a miracle was pulled. So many unfortunate timings for G2 led to Vitality winning several rounds… they didnt even play that well.

Everyone thought it was over when G2 reached 15-13 but god damn! Those plays by Zywoo and Spinx saved em. GGs to Vita for hanging in there.

And Apex, stop dying in the same spot for the 5th time in a row. peaking and getting killed through smoke.

I dont understand what’s going on with this year’s CS matches. It wasn’t like this last year, so many rookie mistakes keep getting made that everyone is questioning the skill of all these players.. what’s going on?!

seems like you are dialed in bro , since it is a video game i can see how players make mistakes especially if they play a lot, they get comphy and feel they cant lose and thats when mistakes happen

OG Upsets and defeats liquid after a dominant first half. Liquid tried to get back into the game on CT but that was not enough in the later rounds when OG finally got their full buy...

Nope, LIQUID turns the map around and utterly breaks them. OG didn't stand a chance against the Yekindar pushes. Nice!
