Piggy Bank from Belatra Games is a 9 win line slot that pays left to right and right to left, it is set in the underworld of the 1920's Chicago gangster era but in a very fun way. It features a thief who steals the piggy banks of the city and takes them to his hideout to crack open, the Detective although the hero in one way is a villain in another because if the detective catches you then it is the end of the bonus round!

                       

The base game graphics are all very sharp and stand out clearly and defined on the white reel background, the base game can also pay big! The line hits are all pretty good if you make full lines and because Piggy Bank pays both ways the hit rate is quite high. A line of the detective pays over 1000x, so if you manage to make a full line of this you will be really happy. The Max Win on Piggy Bank is 180,000,000 coins! Max Bet is 1800 coins, 100,000x 😮 !!!

                                                  

Piggy Bank has a really fun bonus round and to trigger it you need to land 3x Piggy Bank Scatters anywhere on the reels, Piggy Bank is a 5 reel, 3 row slot by the way and I would class this game as pretty volatile. The bonus round is not easy to get and it will take some grinding to trigger, unless you get really lucky of course.

                         

Once you have landed the 3 scatters you are taken to the bonus round, this is a 2 stage bonus! First round the thief unloads his van full of stolen piggy banks on to a conveyor belt, you then select a pig to crack open. Inside each pig there is a cash amount or a free spin symbol. You carry on smashing the pigs until you either reveal  free spins symbol or the detective appears on the conveyor belt and arrests the thief. You do have an extra life though if you play over 45 coins and the first time the detective shows up the thief sets off a booby trap and takes the detective out, you are then free to carry on smashing pigs until he turns up again and you get arrested!

                           

Inside the pigs you can find cash amounts, free spin symbols and keys! If you find a key you get to open one of the safes above the thief's head for a really big prize! This is also where the games super potential can be had an a safe can reveal some monster wins if you manage to pick the right one of course, you have five safe to chose from!

                                                  

If you find free spin symbols then you will be awarded between 10-25 free spins but if the detective shows up you are arrested and it is game over!

                                                 

The Free Spins Bonus Round can only be triggered from cracking open a piggy bank and trust me they are not easy to find, I must have played over 10 bonus rounds before I found my first spins but it was worth the wait. Once you have revealed the free spins you are taken back to the reels, only this time there is a wild sticky roaming reel that moves with each spin. You can accumulate wins with every spin during the free spins and it is added to your total win from the last round.

                                               

The rules for this free spin are the same for the base game, the wild substitutes for all other symbols except for the top symbol the detective. Which is a real shame because a full line of the detective pays over 1000x!                          

                       

If you manage to trigger the key and the free spins in the Piggy Bank bonus then you are guaranteed a big win but like I said this does not happen very often, Piggy Bank is a volatile game and Belatra Games have done a great job spreading out the volatility so that the game play is not effected. It always seems like something is going to happen soon in this slot and the bonus round always seems to pay over 50x.

                                             

 

Piggy Bank also features Belatra's  Wheel of Fortune progressive jackpot, this wheel is an added bonus and only costs 0.50% RTP. When you trigger the wheel you get a shot of the progressive jackpot and the chance to win some huge prizes. All you have to do is press spin. The wheel is activated once you have reached 1000 play points, the wheel is triggered automatically.

                                            

Piggy Bank also features two gamble features for if you are feeling lucky, you can gamble all your base game wins to try and turn small prizes into huge ones! There is the Red or Black Risk game and the Card Double With Dealer Risk game.

                            

 

Piggy Bank by Belatra Games is a fun yet volatile slot, the game play is smooth and the overlay is very good and easy to use. The fun animations and reel graphics are all unique and calibrated perfectly. The fun bonus game is the big draw for this game though, although you can get 1000x plus hits in the base game you really want the piggy scatters. The bonus game is a really tongue in cheek and put a smile on my face and you have the possibility to hit really big! For a fairly basic 9 line slot this game sure has a lot to offer and the tiered bonus game is great and will keep players coming back to try and find the key for the safe and to trigger the free spins. There is not much else to say about this game apart from it is a lot of fun to play!
