Premier League 2022/23

The English Premier League kicks off a new season with the Crystal Palace V's Arsenal this coming Friday! And with so many transfers coming into the sides and changing formations and tactics it will be hard to make predictions for most games until you can actually start to see some team form. Arsenal got off to a terrible start to the season last year and they will not want to make the same mistake again but they have a lot of new players in the squad and this will surely effect the team dynamic. It is fair to say that Arsenal have strengthened their squad this year with some great signings, Gabriel Jesus being the outstanding signing coming from Manchester City in the summer and he could be what Arsenal have been lacking upfront  this season. He had an outstanding pre-season scoring a great Hat Trick against Sevilla in a friendly game. Crystal Palace on the other hand have not had any where near the same amount of cash to spend as Arsenal and only bought in a few players and none of any world class quality like Jesus.

                                    

So I think in this opening game for the Premier League we will se a comfortable win for Arsenal, although this is a London derby and both teams will desperately want to kick off the season with a win. I think there is a very good chance that Gabriel Jesus will start and score and Arsenal will win by 2+. Being the first game both teams should be fit and raring to go, so this game will go to the team that wants it the most and is match fit, I think that will be Arsenal by an easy margin. My prediction is 3-1 Arsenal with Jesus to score.

Well my first betting pick last night lost, Millwall are a division above Cambridge and it still lost at 1.72, thought it was a dead cert! And Rangers lost to Union. Need to do better 😄
