Russell on Pole Position for the Big Race Tomorrow!

F1 - Hamilton: Mercedes terá cautela com testes de configuração

George Russell will start from pole position in the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver took pole for the first time in his F1 career, it was also Mercedes' first pole of the 2022 season.

On Q3, Sainz set the pace in 1:17.505s, while Russell was second ahead of Leclerc. Verstappen did not fit the first lap and was only in P7. Sainz, Russell, Leclerc, Hamilton and Alonso formed the top five with 5minutes to go in Q3. With 3 minutes to go, the drivers returned to the track for the final attempt. Leclerc scored P1, but Sainz overtook his teammate. But it was George Russell who took pole. The British was thrilled on the radio after setting the best lap of the session and securing his 1st pole position in Formula 1.

Tomorrow, as always is expected a big race with lots of emotions! Will Max be able to come from P10 to the first positions or will he lose some points of advantage to Leclerc in the fight for the title !?
