Gambling and Betting has been around a long time and the longer it has been around the more complex and complicated the betting has become. To someone that ha never placed a bet the multiple different ways you can bet can be very confusing. If you were to say go and place a "super yankee" and a "3 fold acca" someone new to betting would be like wtf? So below are some different types of bets that you can place when betting on horses.

• TRIXIE-A Trixie bet is a bet made up of 3 selections and four bets. Thee doubles and a treble, at least 2 of the bets must win to give you a return.
• PATENT-A bet involving three selections and seven bets – three singles, three doubles and one treble. It is just like a Trixie plus three singles.
• LUCKY 15- Consists of four selections and 15 bets thus the Lucky 15 – four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold. Equivalent to a Yankee only with four singles, just one must win to guarantee you a return
• YANKEE-This bet is four horses in four different races with 11 bets – six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold. A minimum of two selections must win to guarantee you a return.
• A FORECAST- A Forecast is a bet where you have to pick the horse that finishes first and second, the odds multiply each other allowing for much bigger payout or combined odds.
