I am sure a lot of you will know this or you may play this side bet but you don't know actually what you are betting on. In Black Jack there are generally two side bets to place chips on the 21+3 is the bet I am going to explain. 21+3 basically is 3 card poker, your first 2 cards plus the dealers first card make up the 3 card poker hand.

Playing the 21+3 can pay a lot more than the actual black jack hand with a Black jack paying just 1.5x stake. The 21+3 side bet can pay up to 100x the amount you stake. So if you get lucky you can win really big. Most online Black Jack tables use between 6-8 decks, so that is a lot of cards. Below is a list of the payouts and what you want to hit when playing the 21+3 bet.

• FLUSH pays 5-1
• STRAIGHT pays 10-1
• 3 OF A KIND pays 30-1
• STRAIGHT FLUSH pays 40-1
• SUITED 3 OF A KIND pays 100-1

So you can see that if you get lucky playing this side bet you can win big but playing side bets significantly effects Black Jacks overall RTP and professional players call side bets "sucker bets" this is because you are reducing your chances winning in the long run.
