No Limit City continue their edgy slot releases with this new game The Border, which I believe is set on the Mexican, American Border and features characters from their earlier releases. This I also believe is No Limits first ever cluster pay slot, it also has most of their other features like X-ways, exploding wilds and nudging wilds.

                       

Like most No limit games this is all about the bonus, however huge hits are attainable in the base game but this one is about getting the super bonus. You can buy the bonus 98x, the super bonus is 914x and you can buy a lucky draw for 566x where you get a 50/50 chance of either the standard spins or the super spins.

                                       

Above is what the payouts are and like I said it is cluster pays so you need 5 or more symbols to get a win. To land the bonus you need 4 or more $ scatters.

                            

The bonus is all about building up the multiplier and landing huge clusters that get split and X-wayed, the Max win on The Border is 44288x which is of course pretty insane but the chance of getting that is super slim as you would imagine.

The Border really did not do it for me and I thought everything about this slot was average or below average. The music was mundane as well as the sound effects, the visuals were at best average and the mechanics a bit sluggish and predictable. The only thing that saves this game is the big potential and really it is a bonus game as the base game is at times boring, you can switch an extra bet feature on that increases your chance of bonusing the slot.
