Following the success of an earlier release "Dead Mans" Trail, Relax have continued this kind of board game bonus mechanic on to this slot and they love getting "Dead" in the title. Dead Riders Trail is the sequel? I think to Dead Mans trail and it is all about the bonus game! Although the base game is not too shabby- The draw of this slot is the board game style bonus round.

                            

This 6 reel, 6 row slot has a max win of 50,561x which is massive, Dead Riders Trail has an RTP of 96.2% and no need to say it is very volatile! The base game is not the main draw for this game like I said it is all about the exciting bonus round.

If Free Spins are won, there is an option to gamble to win the Bonus Trail by risking your spins but be careful lose the gamble and that is it!

In the board game-style Bonus Trail, the player pawn moves one to six spaces each turn. The player starts the round with three fuel cans. You use one each turn, but more can be collected, the round only ends when your truck runs out of fuel.

Landing on a standard space will award a times X win, land on a truck and it  will trigger a feature. Silver trucks can trigger any feature, while golden trucks can bring persistent features and the Collect All feature, which are the ones you want to get, collect these and you will probably win big!

Players lucky enough to trigger the Super Bonus round will see the silver truck positioned closest to the start is replaced by a golden truck. This truck offers players a much greater chance to trigger the higher tier features. If the sum of all wins in the Bonus Trail or Super Bonus Trail exceeds 50,000x, the player is awarded 50,000x bet for the bonus.

Overall this is a solid release from Relax and the game does have some appeal, mainly the bonus round for sure! The base game is ok but not that exciting and like I said when I wrote about Dead Mans Trail, it would be better if the board changed with each bonus, so that players who buy multiple bonuses will not get bored as easily. None the less a good game and one I will spin.
